FlixBus services move to Leeds Bus Station
International travel brand FlixBus is announcing its successful move into Leeds City Bus Station as of Monday 28 October.
Travellers in Leeds will now find coach services to London, Glasgow, Manchester and more with FlixBus at the bus station’s New York Street location.
The station, managed by West Yorkshire Metro, a West Yorkshire Combined Authority brand, offers an accessible and comfortable permanent location for FlixBus passengers, with access to support staff, seating, shops, departure boards and security.
Francesca Hand, Senior Operations Manager at FlixBus UK said: “This is a significant win for our passengers, drivers, and the city of Leeds, as this provides a pleasant and appropriate place for services and people to wait.
“We have been tirelessly working towards this outcome with WYCA, so we’re proud that we’ve found a way forward to bring our services to the safe and secure bus station. Our mission is always to provide reliable, affordable and convenient travel for the cities we serve, and this is a huge step forward for transport in Leeds.”
The company believes the move will support Leeds Council’s ‘Best City’ ambition as well as its goal of carbon neutrality by 2030.
International FlixBus services, which offer direct travel to Utrecht and Amsterdam in the Netherlands will leave from Kirkgate. This means FlixBus services will no longer arrive or depart from Crown Point Road as of Monday 28 October.
The company now boasts over 70 destinations on its UK network as well as 44 countries, with the introduction of Mexico in 2025.
