FlixBus Fast Coach Service Launches for London and Scotland
Travel tech company FlixBus has launched a new fast direct service between London, Edinburgh and Glasgow in time for the Scottish summer holidays.
Travel between Edinburgh and London takes under eight hours on the fast service, with tickets starting at just £14.99.
Glasgow and London can be as quick as nine hours and twenty minutes, for as little as £12.99.
FlixBus recently increased services on its Scottish network, adding Inverness, Pitlochry and Aviemore alongside Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK, commented: "Our popular services between Edinburgh, Glasgow and London have always been affordable, comfortable and sustainable – and now they’re faster too!
“With the sun shining, what better way to explore the country than by coach? We have over 70 cities and towns now on our UK network, plus international routes, and we’re now bringing travellers to their destination quicker than ever.”
National Entitlement Card holders (NEC) including YoungScot – for any Scottish citizen up to the age of 21 - can travel on all Scottish FlixBus services for free.
This expansion is part of FlixBus’s commitment to democratising travel and bringing sustainable, high-quality coach services across the UK, as part of its global network spanning four continents.
FlixBus UK has a 4.2 out of 5 score on Trustpilot and recently piloted the first scheduled electric coach service between England and Wales.
The services will be operated by McGill’s Bus Group, with new FlixBus branded Yutong vehicles which include free unlimited Wi-Fi and charging points for every passenger.
