FlixBus Launches New Manchester and York Coach Service
Travel tech company FlixBus is launching a new Manchester to York and Bradford coach service on Thursday 11 April.
Tickets between Manchester and Bradford Interchange start at just £3.99, while tickets between Manchester and York (Memorial Gardens - Leeman Road) start at £7.99.
The route will also directly connect Manchester (Shudehill Interchange) with Leeds (Kirkgate) daily, adding more FlixBus services between the cities for as little as £3.99.
The news comes during National Coach Week (8-14 April) and will see a brand new 49-seat coach with a modern interior, mobile device charging, and free, fast, unlimited Wi-Fi.
Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK said: “We’re announcing even more destinations, allowing passengers to enjoy the vibrant cities of the north and connecting people in the North of England through our ever-expanding coach network.”
The new service will be provided by FlixBus partner Belle Vue, which recently increased its FlixBus fleet with brand-new Yutong vehicles.
The FlixBus partner began operating the network’s first route to and from Manchester Airport into Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham in March, as well as popular daily services between Manchester, Leeds, Middlesborough and Newcastle.
Phil Hitchen, Managing Director of Belle Vue, added: "We are delighted to expand our successful partnership with FlixBus and continue to grow the network connecting Manchester with more cities across the UK. Passengers can expect the best value for money, with the highest standards of comfort and service."
According to a recent study by IPPR[1], seven in 10 people (71 per cent) have changed how they travel to reduce transport costs in the last two years.
FlixBus offers tickets from just £2.99 on its vast UK network, covering England, Scotland and Wales, as well as international daily routes to the continent. The green travel brand also offers direct coach services between Manchester and Paris, making travel to the 2024 Olympics, hosted in the French capital affordable.
“Whether it’s visiting family, a great night out or a weekend of culture, we are giving passengers more choice without costing the planet, or their wallets,” concluded Schorling.
Tickets are available to purchase now from www.flixbus.co.uk and the FlixBus App.
