Rowgate Group expands partnership to grow FlixBus network
Rowgate Group has announced it will expand its partnership with the UK’s fastest-growing coach provider FlixBus.
The first of the two new vehicles will deliver more scheduled coach services from 20 May, with the second joining in September.
The Berkshire-based operator will bring additional Yutong vehicles to the long-distance network between Bristol, Reading, and London.
Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK said: “Rowgate has been a fantastic partner, delivering quality and consistency for our customers. We have built a strong relationship and this has allowed us to expand together rapidly.”
Rowgate Group, which brings together trading companies Fernhill Travel, White Bus and Baileys Coaches, first partnered with FlixBus in July 2023.
Simon Rowland, Group CEO of Rowgate said: “FlixBus has developed a really strong vision and identity which stands out in the market which is what initially attracted us to work with them.
“We have already seen huge potential for growth through their model, so we were very keen to expand our partnership with FlixBus.”
Flix has announced multiple expansions in the past weeks, including McGill’s Bus Group, adding Inverness to its dedicated Scottish network as well as Pitlochry and Aviemore, and a dedicated Glasgow to Edinburgh route.
The North of England has also benefitted from partnership growth through Stockport-based operator Belle Vue, adding York, as well as a new Manchester Airport to the network, and from next week, routes between Manchester and Leicester.
The recent addition of Bristol Airport services for Wales, thanks to expansion with partner Cymru Coaches, means an enhanced FlixBus network ahead of the peak summer travel season.
Schorling added: “Recently reaching 3rd anniversary in the UK, I could not be prouder of the network growth we’re achieving with our operator partners. We are building for generations to come as the future of coach travel.”
Part of the global Flix group, the company recently released its 2nd ESG report which announced that more than 81 million passengers in 2023 avoided CO2 emissions by choosing its services.
