We’ll be gradually rebranding all of our buses to the new design. We won’t be able to change a thousand buses overnight, but you’ll definitely be seeing the new “FlixBus” design all over Europe in the very near future. Otherwise it’s business as normal, as we continue to try and provide you with the best service and travel experience possible (Details about our service).

The story behind the green buses
FlixBus was founded in Munich by 3 guys who wanted to rejuvenate sustainable and ecofriendly travel by making it affordable and comfortable. Simultaneously, “MeinFernbus” began operating their green buses out of Berlin, serving the whole of Germany. After the fall of the train monopoly in 2013, both companies emerged as market leaders, having pitted themselves against major players in the industry. After two years of strenuous competition, the two teams decided to join forces in January 2015 to become Germany’s biggest bus provider. Our green buses now offer German-speaking regions hundreds of destinations – from Aachen to Zschopau – in no time at all!
From a 3-man business to Europe’s largest route network
As well as Germany, FlixBus have also expanded to major countries like France, Holland and Italy. FlixBus also offers hundreds of connections to countries like Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Czech Republic, Croatia and England – Day and Night. The team consists of around 1,000 employees in offices in Munich, Berlin, Paris, Milan and Zagreb. Additionally, there’s around 4,000 international drivers. Currently FlixBus operates in 20 countries – Day & Night. We transported more people in 2015 than the airline industry. With around a million Facebook followers, 20 million customers and nearly 100,000 connections, we are the only industry-leading Startup in Europe! (About us).
